TIPS & TRICKS

-Make sure you are on track with your classes. Speak with an advisor regularly!

-Although the internet may provide you with a lot of good information, make a habit of using the library as a resource as well. It can provide you with information that is not available on the internet.

-Check out the online library catalog; there's a lot on there that may help you tremendously! (FREE!)

-Make use of the Internet, but do so with caution. There is a lot of junk out there.

- Professors prefer that you use original references.

- Don't use "big" words to impress. Less is more.

- Make sure to revise your work & clarify your meaning.

- Good grammar and spelling are the essential elements of a successful paper.

-Instructors vary in how much they care about whether you follow specific guidelines (MLA, APA, etc). Be clear to what YOUR professor wants and expects.

- Make sure you read feedback from your instructor carefully. It will help you for future assignments.

-Socialize with new people. Expand your network.

-Procrastination always bites you in the ass later. ALWAYS.

-You never know, until you try.

-People are getting sick left & right. Wash your hands often. Don't forget your vitamin C :)
